Lily Claire is here!

We would like to announce Lily Claire Glodt was born Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 8:32 p.m. in Rapid City, South Dakota.

The labor & birth was a great experience. Greg, Doctor Fredrickson & 3 nurses were the only ones in the room. After she was born they gave her right to me & she stayed there for about 20 minutes before a nurse came in to assess her. She was doing so good that they didn't even take her back to the nursery for an hour to clean her off. Grandma Dee Ann & Grandpa Gary were able to meet Lily right away.

We have been home for 2 1/2 days now & we are all doing great. Lily is so easy right now & just fits right into our family! The boys are doing really good with her & want to help out with everything.

Greg & I are so blessed to have a healthy & happy family! Life is good!

Christmas blizzard

Dad's helpers.

Our car is in the big drift. We were stuck in our house for two days before the plows made it to our house. Thank God I didn't go into labor!

Christmas 2009

Gary & Dee Ann came over Christmas Eve, we ate chili & grilled cheese and then watched the boys open their presents. They were so excited and wanted everything open so they could play with it. Christmas morning the boys got their Santa gifts and all the goodies in their stockings. Dee Ann made a wonderful turkey dinner & then they braved the blizzard and drove back to Upton to spend the rest of Christmas with Mary Ann & Homer.

Baby Shower Pictures

Four of my wonderful girl friends threw a pedicure/baby shower for me. There was 11 of us girls & we got our toes done, ate yummy brunch food, played games and visited. I got a lot a cute girl clothes and some other baby necessities.

2009 in review

Every year we've had a Christmas card with pictures to send out to family & friends. Well, this year we wont be sending out Christmas cards since there will be a new family member joining us... possibly any day now. So we will send out a Happy New Year (or Valentines) card and baby announcement together. I would like family and friends to know how our year went so I thought our blog spot would be a great place for that.

We started off 2009 with a holiday get together in Lander with my parents, Audie, Gregor, Drew & Kim. It was a full house for my parents... my Uncle Gregor ended up sleeping in my Dads shop on a cot! Burrrrr! We really enjoyed all the family time, playing cards and eating LOTs of great food.

May we made the loonnnnggg journey down to Santa Fe, New Mexico for Audies college graduation. On the way down we stopped in Denver, stayed the night and went to the Denver Zoo the next day. The boys had a great time. I also shared some great news with Greg while we were there. I had found out before we left the day before that I was pregnant. I made a sign that said, "Another baby on the way". I handed it to Greg when I had him pose for a picture in front of the monkeys. I took the picture right when he read it. His face was priceless. So after our visit to the zoo we hit the road again. Our time in Santa Fe was a lot of fun. We were able to see Roxanne & Ty and grandpa Ted, Audies graduation went good and we enjoyed all the art work around Santa Fe. My parents were staying at a camp ground and our last night we went there for dinner. While we were there Graden fell in to cactus... wow, poor little guys was in so much pain and hated us holding him down to get it all out of his leg and foot.

July we went to Cody for Matt & Christine's wedding. Christine's parents have their own water skiing lake & they were going to get married on the dock. We stayed in a camper with Gary and Dee Ann which was a little tight but we enjoyed the family time. The boys did good for the first few days and then after that they were tired and ready to go home. They were the ring bearers and looked so cute in their suits. The wedding was beautiful and we were glad to be a part of it.

August is Sturgis Motorcycle rally time. We rent out our home to some bikers who have been staying at our house for the last three years. The boys and I leave and stay in Lander with my parents for the week and Greg gets to stay with a friend in Lead since it's a busy time at work. No vacation for Greg. The boys really got to work on their potty training while we were in Lander... a lot a space outside to pee and Grandma supplied the M&M's as a reward. They are now fully potty trained (few accidents now and then) but Greg and I are surprised how excited about it they are & how little we really did.

There is so many more stories I could tell you. We have been busy with something every week. With two, two year old there is never a dull moment, always something going on and so many memories to share. But along with that I also have them here wanting to help me type... so I will leave you with these memories of 2009.

Update on the Baby. I went into preterm labor at 33 weeks, contractions 3-7 minutes apart and strong. The doctor was able to slow them down with a shot & sent me home on a medication to do the same. I am still having contractions but they are under control and haven't turned into labor contractions. The baby has dropped and is head down, which is very uncomfortable. The doctor hopes we can keep they baby in until after Christmas... Greg and I are hoping for after the New Year. We will keep you all posted.

We hope you have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

Lots of love- Greg, Jessie, Graden & Cael

November

Fall Festival in Sturgis... the kids had a great time in the jumping castle, pony rides, face painting and music.

Here is a picture of the babies room before we painted...

After Painting. Together Greg & I were able to create the vision I had in my head.

A few weekends ago Greg & I were able to have a kid free weekend (Thanks to Gary & Dee Ann)! We went out to dinner with a group of friends that also have kids... so it was nice to have dinner without kids & be able to visit a little more. Then we all went to Put-n-glow. It's been forever since I've been mini golfing & we all had a blast! The next day Greg & I were able to sleep in & relax. That night we went out to dinner at our favorite place, Coco Palace (yummy sushi) and a movie! Greg & I haven't been able to enjoy much time with each other so this weekend was much needed!

Fall???

Cael William & Graden James Glodt 2 1/2 yrs old

Best Buddies

Oh, I have been slacking on blog posts. The boys, work and everything else seems to consume my days & before I know it September is over & now we are over half way through October!

Graden & Cael are doing good... just getting over a little flu. They started out with temperatures of 101 and then the next day the temps were lower but they were throwing up. So we called the doctor to make sure it wasn't anything too serious. The doctor said it didn't sound too serious, but they probably were throwing up because we were giving them too much fluids. They seem better today, just a lot of drainage going on.

The boys moved into their new room downstairs last week & love it! They helped move stuff & put stars on their ceiling. I don't know what it is but they seem to sleep better down there & don't wake up so early... should have moved them along time ago! The new baby will be in their old room & the boys seem excited about that too. They like to go in the room & look at the baby stuff we have in there & talk about all the baby stuff. They seem to be excited about getting a baby sister, as much as two year olds can.

We are just coming up on 7 months along in this pregnancy. I'm feeling GREAT! The baby moves soooo much right now, it actually is getting to the point it hurts sometimes. She's a strong one! I've been going to the doctor every month for checkups & starting next week I will be going every two weeks in November & December and January I will be going every week.

Greg's doing great. He was super Dad while the boys were sick. He was home with them yesterday & spent the whole day cleaning puke up & taking care of sick kids. What a great guy. He will probably be ready to go back to work tomorrow.

I'm still working & plan on working right up to the end of the pregnancy. Then I plan on staying home for 6 weeks with the baby before I go back.

I hope everyone is doing great!
