Santa Fe Trip

Cael Chilling in the car
Graden our driver;]

We just got back from a great family trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico. We left Thursday, drove to Denver. We stayed the night & went to the Denver Zoo in the morning. It was the boys first time to the zoo & they enjoyed every minute of it.

That afternoon we drove the rest of the way to Santa Fe where we met up with family- Auntie Audie, Grandma & Grandpa Cunningham, Great Grandpa Ted & Great Aunt Roxanne & Uncle Ty. Our hotel had a pool so we ate pizza, visited & played in the water. The next day was Audie's College graduation... We are so proud of her & thankful we were able to be there to celebrate with her.

The next day we did some sight seeing around Santa Fe, we went to the Indian Market, Plaza & a sculpture garden. We also ate great Mexican/ new Mexico food. The last night in Santa Fe we went out to the camp ground that G-ma & G-pa were camping at for dinner. G-pa Willy & Greg cooked buggers & hot dogs on the camp fire... Yummy. The boys had a great time playing outside & in the camper... until Graden fell into a big cactus! OUCH! Poor guy had a ton of cactus stuck all along his legs & in his feet. We used tap & tweezers to try to get it out but with him crying & moving around we couldn't get it all out. So we gave him some Tylenol and drove back to our hotel. He feel asleep on the way back, so when we got back I got out the tweezers & was able to pick the rest out of him while he was sleeping. Now he just has a few scrapes on him.
Cael-

Graden-

On our way back home we stopped in Alamosa to see Great Grandma Audie. It meant a lot to me for her to meet the boys, even thought she probably wont remember them. We haven't seen her in about 4 years, so it was a really great visit.

wrestlers already

a little bit spring...

We have finally been enjoying a little bit of spring weather! Today is a little chilly with rain, but we'll take it! As long as it's not snow.

Greg & I did a lot of shopping around, test driving and trying to figure out the best vehicle for our family. We aren't van people and we never thought we would want anything as big as a Suburban... well, when we thought about it... all the space we needed & we wanted something we weren't going to out grow we decided that we needed a Suburban. Yes, the Glodt family is the proud owners of a Chevy Suburban!!! Greg & I are in love with this car and can't imagine life without it now.

Our new investment is going to make our trip next week to Santa Fe a lot more comfortable than our little Jeep:] Wow, our Santa Fe trip is almost here. We are going down for Audie's college graduation. We wouldn't miss this milestone in Audie's life & want to be there to celebrate with her. There also will be some family members there that haven't met the boys yet! That will be special... I will have to take LOTS of pictures!

The day we come back from Santa Fe is Graden & Caels 2nd Birthday!!! My babies are going to be two. The time does fly, but it's been so much fun and we've been making memories that I'll never forget. I've decided to have the boys birthday party the last weekend of May, by then we should have beautiful weather for the kiddoes to play outside and be messy! Their birthday theme is Elmo... they LOVE Elmo!!!

Well, there should be a lot of pictures and stories to tell by June. I hope everyone has a great May.

Mommy & Cael, he loves to look in the mirror right after his bath

Handsome Graden-- I love those rosey cheeks

Hop, Hop, Hoppy Easter

We have had a wonderful Easter. We went over to Upton in the morning in time to make it to church. Since it's small church we needed to get there early to get a seat for all of us. So we arrived about 30 minutes early. The boys did great for the first 20 minutes & then started getting restless. We were able to keep them happy for about 10 more minutes and then they had, had enough. So I left with them so they could watch movies in the car... Graden fell asleep as soon as I started driving. When everyone was back at Grandma Dee Ann's & Grandpa Gary's house we hunted for eggs.

The boys also got a Handy Manny Doll and were super excited about it!

Grandma & Great Aunt Debbie made a wonderful dinner, that we all ate too much of. Cousin Piper was there and entertained the boys, she hid the eggs for them to find, took them outside to play and ran around with them.

We had a really fun day and Graden & Cael had their fill of candy!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

We have been trying to take advantage of any nice weather we get. The boys love to go to the park and swing!

They would swing for hours if I would let them. I try to get them to go play on the slid and other things... they will go down once and then want back on the swings. They love when I give them a UnderDog push where they go Really high. Right after I push them they will ask for it again! It's pretty cute so ofcourse I keep doing it.

Pray for Spring to come! We can't wait to play outside more!!!

Identical or Fraternal???

Before the boys were born the doctor told us that they were probably Fraternal twins. The reason was they were in two sacks and had two placentas... seperate everything. So we always assumed that they were Fraternal. As they got older, still looked A LOT alike, got teeth at the same time & in the same order, stayed the same height & weight we started to question if they were Fraternal or Identical. We talked to our Pediatrician and he said "Identical". So we decided to order a genetic testing off the Internet. To do the genetic testing we had to swab the inside of Graden & Caels mouth (not an easy task!), send them in and then the result would be posted on-line. Greg and I were planning on waiting to reveal the results at the boys 2nd birthday party... but I couldn't wait, I had to look!!! Then when I told Greg he couldn't keep it a secret... so we are going to tell you now!

Graden & Cael are Identical Twins.
The results say they are 99.99999417% Identical! I think that's pretty close!

Spring Fever!

We all have Spring Fever around here. Usually this time of the year we are praying for moisture... but we have had so much this year that we are ready for warm weather! Now that the boys are to the age where they run, climb and play together they need more space to play. Inside just doesn't seem to get all of their energy out! Today it's 48 degrees!

Graden & Cael are doing really good. Their vocabulary is really picking up. Their big word right now is "NO"... hummmm I don't think they have ever heard that word!?! Okay, maybe a few times. Cael will walk around the house saying "no no no no no". It really is pretty cute. They have started wrestling with each other. Usually Cael will grab Graden and pull him to the ground. Then Graden will get out from under Cael and then get on top of him or run off so he will chase him. The whole time they are Laughing! No one's got hurt yet or broke any furniture... but I know it's coming!

Grandma & Grandpa Glodt took us to the Stock show & rodeo in Rapid City this year. They boys had a great time. they love to watch the horses & all the activities going on. Graden even learned a new word... "Horse". What a good time!

I just received the genetic testing kit in the mail. Now we have to swab the boys cheeks and then send it into the lab. We are planning on reveling the results at the boys 2nd birthday party. I will make sure to post it in a blog too.

Greg is staying busy with work all of this week so he can take Friday & Saturday off. Greg and a few of his friends are heading to Watertown SD to watch state wrestling. Greg was able to help out with the Sturgis High School wrestlers a little this year. So it should be fun to go and watch them at state. Greg also just turned over his crown for king... He was Mardi Gras King last year and they just recrowned a new king. We had a busy house last weekend. Greg finished his home made poker table. He built it all by himself with some help from a friend & he's deffenlty proud of it!

One of my best friends just turned 30. We suprised her with a girls night. We ate at Coco Palace (yummy sushi) then a chick flick (confesions of a shop a holic).

Happy Monday!!!
